 I was just curious if any of you mylotters label yourselves "childfree", meaning that you don't have any children and don't want to have any children. I am childfree and happy that way!:) Anybody else?

2.  gardengalz (1778) | 2 years ago |  My husband and I don't have any children, and will not be having any. We have two cats that I call our fur babies. I've got lots of kids around though to spend time with like my nieces, nephews, and cousins. I can give them back at the end of the day though and I admire parents a lot for all the work that is involved. Welcome to mylot and have fun!

| Poison_Girl (3075) | 2 years ago | My younger sister calls our nieces and nephews "rent-a-kids". LOL Which they kinda are cuz you can have them for a few hours or a day or whatever, but the best part is that they GO HOME at the end and you're no longer responsible for them. | |

Unfortunatly it is very hard for me as a single guy to meet a single woman in her mid 20s-mid 30s that feels the same way. Most women that I meet either have kids or want a big family.

We do have two cats and I think they act like two little kids haha..

7.  CletusVanDamme (597) | 1 year ago |  My decision not to have kids has nothing to do with tension or problems in my relationship. I simply do not have the time or room in my life for a child. I'd have to give up something I love and I couldn't do that without resenting my child every time I looked at it. My horses, my competitions and my job are far more important to me than a child and having to give up something, probably competing, I'd never forgive my child for making me do it.
People don't have kids for a variety of reasons. Maybe they are infertile? Maybe they just don't like kids? Maybe they don't have time? Maybe the wife would die if she carried a pregnancy to term?
There are a thousand different reasons why.
