I am sooooo upset!

That is wonderful what you did. I hope more people out there will do the same thing. Last nights American Idol show was very tear jerking. It is very upsetting how us Americans who have so much complain over the littlest things when there are people out there in this world that would be blessed to have our lives. I wish I could do the same as you, but my earnings here I need. My husband controlls the money from me so the only way for me to make money is to do things like this that he does't know about. But I am trying to think of other ways that I can give back to those in need. God Bless you!!!!

I worked and run a charitable foundation that caters to street children (abandoned and sexually abused) and those indigent sick kids in our government hospitals. I have seen the worse suffered by these children and I can not sleep nor eat when I visit them. As many as 5 to 7 siblings where abandoned and housed in some NGOS here and they are lucky if there are foreign families that adopt them. The worst are kids who are suffering from cancer and they do not even have money to buy food. The list doesn't stop there.

Most of my people are looking for work overseas and when they do, they were abused by their employers. There is this Filipina domestic helper who escaped from her employers in kuwait because she is receiving beatings everyday. She hid in some friend's house and can not go home because the government is not giving her assistance. When she got sick, the hospitals in kuwait did not accept her because they said she is undocumented! She died a few days ago and will be shipped here. If the government had taken her case and sent her home, she might be alive now. There are so many sad stories around us and our tears is not enough.

That is great!Yes it is very sad to see all thise children.I still can't believe the mess in New Orleans!I live in the U.S.and I would think that out of all the money we donate overseas we could do alot better.

Marie, I am with you! I cried and cried and cried too. I loved the part with Carrie Underwood~ I just balled while watching that part. I also went on line and donated. I am hoping that it went threw because when I clicked send the screen came up unable to find server. I did it a second time, so I probably donated twice, but it is really worth it.

Wow, bless your caring heart. I haven't even earned $10.00 or I would give that. Some people (and you are one) have such a sypathetic heart and it is a good thing not a bad. You have bought schooling, medicine, food, and mosquito netting for those poor children. Bless your heart!

I am not watching American Idol nor do I have any knowledge about the mother's plight. I applaud you for your sensibility in donating money to the mother. It isn't everyday that we see a good kind hearted soul like you. Your money will definitely goes a long way for this less fortunate people.

What a show that was. I had the roll of paper towels near me, I couldn't control myself especially when Simon was at the bedside of that poor woman who was dying of AIDS. I never thought I would see the compassionate side of Simon but he showed it. I hope the money they raised will help get medications for the people who need it.

i think you had done a fanastic idea giving money for the charity work is nice and you will get more blessing from those people. i think we should have to give at least some money for the charity work. See While we are enjoying do you ever thing the people who had no sheltter, food, cloth these are people are living in our world. if we do some help for them we will get lot of enjoyment in our life. So donating to the charity is the good think. I will also donate my money from the my lot to the charity but its only 2 dollars.
