Thank You for Sharing.. Yes, I agree trying to fully understand G-d entirely is truely impossible in our physical form:) .. I am used to praying to G-d as.. Mother of Mothers, Father of Fathers, and Spirit of All ascended masters.. ..

I understand it is hard to explains.. Being Seperate and one all at the same time. In my path.. We end all our prayers with Alleh Ace Uno .. Means
"All is one." German for all, and Ace Uno for Is One.. Interesting I had one Spirit that used to always say this to me, and it caught on.. and I thought it was important to always acknowledges that yes we are seperate, and yet one with all... Althought many do not believe in this. I understand you.:) .

As a child, I always new and never questioned, but when I hit me preteen years and hit a serious depression, I found myself falling into the doubt trap, even totally lost touch with all things spiritual accept for my gifts of empathy, telepathy, and visions and dreams. Then I thought I was nuts, and just ended up terrified.. So the doubt is scary, and when you went from knowing to serious doubt it can be devasating.. I later found I was going through a serious growth stage... and after I came through it I was more aware of my place in the world, and all that doubt ceases to exist, as I had learned through experiences, and see unexplainable things...

I understand the view of both knowing and not knowing, and it really takes serious faith if you do not know.. But the old Biblical saying of Ask and ye shall recieve.. I have witnessed as true when I personally start to doubt I ask for signs in nature.. and then I get a sign that eases that doubt or worry:) .. So I find alot of comfort in that..

I also enjoy learning and researching all faiths and traditions.. on my path it is required to learn all I can from everyone and everything, and live and walk my best way in truth.

I guess for me my first sign came when I was really young... I had dreams about a Goddess (though I didn't know it then, and only called her "Mother"). I didn't have any idea what was going on until I described her to my great-grandmother, and found out who she was. Since then I have seen depictions in books and descriptions in historical references that fit what she looked like to me... so I've never really been able to think maybe I made it up.

There have been times over the years when I thought I was crazy, especially because I do actually have a mental problem (post-traumatic stress disorder from abuse I suffered as a child). But I never doubted that my Gods existed, just that they really cared about me. Even then, it pretty quickly was disproved, by signs in nature and such like you have talked about.

I think it's wonderful that you had that period of doubt and found your faith again. In my case, I suppose I had that period of doubt about people, not about deity, if that makes any sense.

It's strange for me being a pagan, and having grown up in an area that is almost entirely Christian. I spent a lot of my childhood being harassed over my faith, and I think in a way that made my faith stronger. I even at times wished I could change my religion to fit in, but my personal relationship with my gods just made it impossible for me.

Yes, the doubt about people makes sense. I still struggle with that one on and off. And Althought it is unique to go from Christianity to Paganism you are not alone. I have spoken to many people who were lead through to Paganism the same way, despite their Christian community and upbringing... This flip flop in path values happens more often than people realise, being drawn towards the different or opposite path. I think it is so we understand the opposing viewpoint more, and have experience and lived to tell the tail to see both sides of the coin.
