Yeah. They are like buying a very, very small portion of the company. You are basically "posting" money to a company so they can use it - you are trusting them to make more money. When you buy a share, they have money to spend, and so in turn, can use that to finance things, cut back on loan costs, that sort of thing. It's a cool system, but very risky! You can lose all your money, easily!

i'm interested in shares business and aspiring to plunge into it. i think i have to read a book on shares and study the market of my country before getting into the business.

Yes I have some knowladge about that, but not fully..

I do understand about the share market but mainly the US share market.

I don't trade the actual shares but stock options which ride on the performance of the shares. Options are cheaper and at the same time they provide the leverage power to greater gains (the flip-side would be the greater risks involved too).

I've been trading stock options for about 2 years and though I haven't really gain much money from this investment tool yet, I've really learned a lot.

hi, yes ofcourse i think i have some knowledge in stocks, but iam a big looser for 2 years but now iam re gaining my debts, through which broker you do trading. i never seen share certificate because, i normally do online trading its paperless trade

I have only little about share. I know that we have open a account with a min balance and We have to buy a share first. Share market rate should be known first and then company also seen. Day by day till increase or decrease based on the company growth. As the company grow the share rate increase that what i know if u get more information let me also know.

before investing in the share market, it is always wise to check up the balance sheet of the company instead of the childish rules of p/e ratio alone. also its best not to imitate others as everyone has a unique portfolio for investment . and as is already mentioned, you can diversify at first(Warren Buffet is a serious exception to this rule!!)

and you can also consider to diversify your investment portfolio... real estate, insurance, mutual funds, forex, precious metals etc can all be used. now a days, even the commodity market is coming up quite strong. so consider everything before you begin and read well!
