These are not My Red Wings!

I give a lot of blame to the loss in the series to the officiating. The Ducks tallied their first win because the goal that tied it up was allowed to count. You can't push a goalie into the net. Refs first big mistake of the series.

Second big mistake, the Datsyuk penalty. I've seen some minor calls that at least had SOME merit, but this one was totally uncalled for. Again, allowed the game to be tied and eventually lost.

There you have it. Two games that were stolen from the Wings by poor officiating. Game 6 would have been much less one sided if the Wings didn't spend the majority of it in the sin bin.

I truly hope the league does something to make officiating a bit more consistent.

There are a lot of factors in it. Not only Schneider, but Kronwell, shoot even think if we still had Fischer. I know people don't think of Fischer these days, but he would be crucial for depth with all of the injuries. Sure, we can blame officiating, it frustrates me too, but the Red Wings didn't play with intensity last night until it was already too late. Game 5 was a joke, I have to agree that penalty on Datsyuk was bad, but it happens, saw a couple go against the Ducks that if I was fan of them I'd be mad too. Anyway, I think with more energy and less injuries, things that can go hand in hand, things could have been different. Oh well, there is next year. Go Pistons!!

The Red Wings just didn't have enough offense when they needed it the most. Todd Bertuzzi looked pretty lost out on the ice, which resulted in him being rater unproductive. Hopefully the Wings will keep him around and get him better adjusted to the Wings system.
