Who should be next Indian Coach??

No matter who the coach is, I feel that the present indian team will not play well against tough opposition, they are fit for beating only minnows with all the money they have in their kitty without even playing cricket. All the current players are interested only in money and not the cricket itself, hence there is no use of changing coach but to change the current set of players and bring in young poor chaps and even if they lose some matches no issues, at least they will give their heart out to win unlike the current bunch of players who are just playing for the sake of playing and nothing else.

Imagine a senior player in the team was reportedly involved with an ad campaign till 3 a.m. on the day before the match day and imagine how well he would have played on that day. Another senior player is paid for the number of hours being on the field even if he is not scoring runs just to show off his bat with the advertising sticker on it. This is the current fate of indian cricket.

The cricket on the whole has become a gambling paradise with the betting and match fixing being involved in all levels and even the ICC knew it but they are just money-minded and toothless and boneless organization interested only in money that too coming from India. Cricket as a whole would have been very less popular in the whole world if India was not playing. All the money to cricket is coming from india. All because of the fans here who are then being fooled by everyone in the cricketing fraternity including the media who are hyping the current indian team as world beaters which is not the truth. Indian team is just a very below average team a little bit above Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. So we fans should realize these and should try and stop supporting cricket and try to encourage other sports who are giving their heart out, even though they are failing, does not matter.

Stop cricket and encourage other sports in India. This is my message.

i think India should make Whatmore as the Indian coach..
he has developed Bangladesh and make them reach super eight in the 2007world cup..

I heard that the board has circled in on Dave whatmore .
Well,i am not giving the present tour of bangladesh any importance. Care should be more about the next world cup and well planned preparations should be made for it. I am not sure whether there is any mini-world cup in between. I am ashamed of our teams performance in the world cup . Atleast they should have went out fighting till the last breath .

I feel according to reports in new channels that BCCI has already decided that Whatmore will be the next coach of indian team for one year. Whatmore has very good credentials as he had success with sri lankan and bangladesh teams. But india will be a challenging assigenment for him after world cup debacle. I feel he is treet smart and more hands on and gets on better with players so hopefully that should help team India. let's hope for the best.:)

Whoever the next Indian coach is, he should be in the likes of John Wright. He should be defensive when dealing with the players. India cannot take coaches of the likes of Greg Chappell. A aggressive coach would in no way come to terms with the Indian senior players. And that would result in unnecessary speculation of spats between the coach and the players.

While John Wright was the coach of the Indian team, there was no big difference of opinions between the coach and the players or atleast that sort of thing didn't come out to the media. But when Greg was the coach, at a lot of stages, he was blamed and so were the players. The only reason why it happened because he was a strong coach. He had his own words to say to players and didn't care about the reputation of the players.

It will seem fair enough if could do that in Australia, where even if you are a star in Australian cricket, you would be dropped if the performance isnt good enough. But that will not seem to happen in a country like India which is built entirely on emotions.

Whatmore is the best choice because he is the only reason for Bangladesh's development in cricket and he wants to become a coach of India.

Indian should be next coach of Indian cricket team.I think there is no need of foreigner coach.There is no dearth of talent as far as Indian cricket is concerned.BCCI must trust and respect them.

First of lot I would like to say that that Indian team is back in action and right now it doesn't matter who the opposition is...Getting momentum and confidence back is the need of an hour. And I suppose Ravi Shastri has done a great job preparing the guys within 5 days of training session. But I don't know how well he can do to if he was given a charge for the long run. So I guess the right person should be Dave Whatmore at the moment.He is experienced, and had gone through such circumstances when the morale of the team was absolutly low.

i think whatmore should be the next coach of india.he has the great potential to develop india as a winning team & has helped bangladesh to improve a lot.

Prehaps i could be the one lol ... just kidding ... actually anyone with influence and some coaching ablities will do, i always believe coach and managers won't matters so much as the players are the one playing after all
