Should the US force the United Nations to find a new home?  |

 Okay, as an American, I am regularly inslted by the United Nations and the actions that they endorse. More importantly, I am frustrated and angry that they feel it is completely appropriate to invite world leaders into out country and then applaud them when they call my President the devil.
Do I like George Bush? Not even maybe. But I also don't think Chavez and others should be allowed to insult him while on American soil.
So, I am proposing that we tell the United Nations to find a new home. Like much of the world, they run to us for a home and for money and for troops and never say so much as thank you, much less appreciate the contributions that Americans make to the UN. So, I'd like them to leave.

1.  4ftfingers (694) | 2 years ago |  I think it would be a lot better if the UN was in neutral Switzerland, and countries more proportionally represented acording to their population.
Britian and France have permanent seats at the security council, whereas Brazil, Indonesia, India, Germany and Pakistan don't have an automatic seat.
There are no Arab, Muslim or African seats at the top table and so it's really just an insult to everyone.

And Switzerland probably wouldn't let them in....the Swiss are fairly isolationist.
But I do think we should send them soemwhere and give them their own city-state like Vatican City, just not in this country. | |

I just want the whiny babies to have to support themselves without running to the US every time there is a problem and expecting us to fix it. Then, they turn around and gripe about us...

1.Canadian. Our leaders have made us not your friends. Having our Liberal MPs stand in the house and call Bush a moron wasn't a good thing. Doesn't matter what you think of Bush either way either.
2. I was once young and stupid and was arrested and convicted of possession of pot. $75 fine and a record. I might as well be Chuck Manson or part of his crew...

Yes I agree. I think the UN needs to get lost. I also think we need to get everyone in teh US out of the CFR. Once we do then we can have balance and the rule of law in this country.

4.  djbtol (2144) | 2 years ago |  I'm not sure moving the UN will help much. I agree that the United Nations is bad news. Anytime the UN gets more power or support, it is bad news for the U.S. What is worse than the UN are all the liberal democrats that support it.
What more evidence could you want than that the previous UN leader had only critical remarks of the U.S. when he stepped down, while praising various terrorists countries.
The U.N. should generally be opposed!
