One of the homes we sold because of the trouble we were having with the renters, is now up for $100,000 more than what we sold it for. It is in my nature to be nice to people but they always take advantage of me so I quit the rental business. We sold two other rentals because of the same problem. You do have to be careful where you buy because some towns are going downhill. Resort places I would keep only long enough to get a profit from it. It will be interesting to see if our house will sell for what is being asked for it because it is in a poorer section of the resort area and mostly poor workers are moving into houses like that. The rich have great big houses.
