I have been told by my partner that there is a health risk on pneumonia if i dry my washing on our radiators?
I cant find anything to back this up. when i was growing up my mum always used to dry washing on radiators.
Im just thinking has anyone ever heard this before and is there any truth in it??

thanks

cant see what could ever happen if you did that. if you ask me, drying them outside is worse. nature has worms, lice, flees, ticks, spiders moths, pollen, spores, fungus etc that could get to your clothes on the line. imagine bringing that in the house. now theres a health risk.

Is your partner a physician or bacteriologist? Drying washing on the heat simply dries out the fibers. You may want to air dry with a fabric softener after drying. There is a fire risk. Unless you did not get the clothes clean there might be a risk, but i think the fear stems from small insects possibly lodginh eggs and larvae in the moisture pockets of water left in the clothes. if the bugs carried poneumonia or were bitten by insects that carried pneumonia that might be possible, where people are dependent on surface water.
