Those late-term abortions, like the one you describe, should be anathema to anyone. I am ardently pro-choice, but not when you're killing something that can sustain it's own life outside the womb. There's no debate there, that's murder.

I hate the fact that millions of dogs and cats are put to death every year for lack of a home, too. I have also had litters aborted from pregnant animals that I've rescued. It kills me every time I do it, but I'd rather carry the guilt than risk those baby animals winding up abused, homeless, or otherwise badly off because there's too many already.

I don't believe in euthanasia for people, although I have chosen that for my elderly four-legged friends rather than see them suffer at the end of their lives. I do believe in assisted suicide, under stringently documented conditions. I also believe that human society needs to quit wanking to American Idol and the antics of celebutards like Brittney and Paris, and get busy figuring out the ethics of all this new medical technology freakin' rickey-tick, cause it's all getting out of hand fast!

I'm not a Christian, do I really have to loan my car out to Jesus too? As it is I already have to deal with so many close-minded, alleged followers of his & their dogmatic laws.
Someday God will decide to abort all of our lives, it's one of the few things that none of us can avoid.
I don't believe life begins at conception. My belief is based on my understanding of scientific fact & basic biology. I'm of at least average intelligence. Exactly why do you feel I don't have the right to make choices about what happens in my body?
There are many reasons woman find themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy; birth control failure being a fairly common one. From there, there are many reasons why some women choose to terminate unplanned pregnancies; abusive partners, unable to afford a child, or just not being ready to raise a child at this time. If she feels, as I do & most of the pro-choice camp does, that an early termination is not yet a life-whom are you to say she should be denied this choice?
The procedure you are describing is a D&E it's a late term termination seldom done for reasons other than SEVERE birth defects. Conditions that make that child incompatible with life or that promise a painful & short life should the child survive birthing. While I agree that it is a horrendous procedure, I am blessed to have never been put in the position of being forced to make a choice like that and I do not feel I have any right to judge the family that has.

Almost no one does this and those who do either just don't care or are just plain stupid. The grand majority of abortions are gotten due to failed contraceptives or "heat of the moment" one time things. Not to mention the fact that abortions have been around for centuries and will continue to be around until we find a way to make a 100% effective contraceptive or a way to remove a fetus without "killing" it. Niether of which exist at this point. I'm on BC for health reasons, however if I ever fell pregnant, hell yes I'd get it terminated.

Maybe I misunderstood what you are saying, but... did you just say that you don't support the choice of abortion for those women who are unmarried, regardless of any health concerns? It is only okay for a married couple to have an abortion.. and that is only okay if the mother and child are at risk? Is that what you just said?
