But there's this one certain person that up to now even if I'm already committed to someone, I still have this feelings for that person. I can't get that person out of my mind. And I keep on asking..."If I fought for our love, maybe we're still together."...."If I've showed to that person how much that person mean to me then maybe we didn't part ways."..."If I only did my part by making an effort to make our long distance relationship worked, maybe he's still here....But I can't go back or turn back time that's why I'm trying to move on and taking one step at a time, hoping that someday I'll be completely over that person. Besides, I know that person is already happy now. But I"m proud to say that I"m happy where I am now with my life because although I'm still not over that person, but I am NOT hurting inside.

And dwelling on the what-ifs will only make me feel depressed. Well - there are times when hurtful events appear in my mind, but I try my best not to entertain such questions like "what if I did this... what if I never did that..." because it'll only make me want to keep on pondering about the what-could've-beens... It's downright nasty...

But in my case, I can't really move on until I forget about the past. Looking back on past events and experiences are difficult for me - more difficult if I dwell on them. All I can really do now is divert my attention elsewhere so I won't remember a stinking thing about the events and experiences which hurt me most..
I believe that our journey in life should travel forward - and I guess that means leaving the past experiences behind and taking the lessons you learned from them with you on your travels. I need not have to look back.
Although, I'm not sure if it's really called moving on or... escaping.
What do I know? Haha... A matter of opinion.. | |
