I agree with you in that. my mother has imposed on us a rule that when we get home from school we should change our clothes. I don't do this anymore because I don't wear uniform anymore because i'm in college but my two younger siblings do have to do this so as not to dirty the uniforms.

i don't think it's for you to say it's wrong for everyone. some parents probably don't mind buying new school clothes if those get ruined or doing the laundry. i don't see a big deal in kids playing with their school stuff on. mind you i personally don't have the extra cash and wouldn't let my child do it but i think it's the parents choice to get their kdis to change and i don't see why it would bother you so much to see someone else doing it. it's not that big of deal. they aren't hurting anyone and if their parents had a problem with it i'm sure they'd do something.

I don't know whether or not I agree with you. I really could care less if someone allows their children to ruin their school uniforms, after all, it is the parents paying for it. So if they allow it to happen then why would it matter to anyone. No one else is paying for those clothes except for the parents and apparently it does not bother them. Maybe their parents have the money to keep replacing the clothes. It's not like you are forced to pay for it with your taxes or something.

I have no problem letting my daughter stay in her school uniform once its Friday and there's no school at the weekend. I buy and new uniform every year anyway cause she's taking so many growth spurts. And the uniform she uses costs less than 100 euros altogether.

My son doesn't have to wear a uniform, but if he did, taking off the uniform before going out and playing would definitely be the rule. That said, if another parent doesn't care, if they don't mind paying for new uniforms when they get ruined or having to do a lot of extra washing/stain removal then that's their choice.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. Kids have to be told to do things if not they won't be able to do it themselves. Sense of responsibility is very low among kids, even though some of them have even reached the age of early teenagers. This results in their parents having headaches due to the ignorant of their kids. It is true that kids should be put into discipline in their daily lives. They should know to change their uniforms immediately after coming back from school so that they can help in saving their parents' money.

I certainly agree with what you've mentioned. My son is eight years old, very naughty. If we don't ask him to get change after school, he'll be very dirty within half an hour. So, what I did is ask him to help me wash dished or wash the car or even clean up the bathroom. Some kids like to play with water and they would be realize that they have to get change first. And after finished working we will give them some sweet and let them watch cartoons. My son enjoy helping me doing the house work. This idea may not work with every kid, but I think it's worth a try.

There is absolutely high reason to get annoyed to such a thing. Infact me too get irritated at times. So when I see some kids doing so in my locality, I tell them calmly and kindly that it is not good to play in their school uniforms, for they might spoil them. But this has neer appealed with the kids. But when I tell them they will get allergy and skin irritations if they are wearing it with sweat for a very long time. This has always appealed to the kids the most. I see this habit mostly with kids whose both parents are working and they dont have anyone to take care of them properly. But it is the duty of the parents to guide them as to what should be and should not be done.

Elders should be an example to the kids. If the kids see their parents lingering around in the official dress till they go to bed then the kids too tend to do it.

But we can always make them realize by making them wash thier soiled clothes if they are older than 8 and if they are younger they should be made to help in washing.

It's not actually our problem anymore, if their parents would let them, so be it.. afterall it would be the parents headache of removing the stains on the uniforms their children had caused, not ours.. so let them crawl that kid's park or wherever they wanted to play.
