What should be the profile of a Great Leader

Hi Hermie, a great leader in my eyes is someone who knows that even he is not almighty and he still has to learn some things in what he does.
A great leader also never forgets where he came from, and the fact that he has not been a leader all his life. He doesnt forget the problems he went through, he doesnt forget the time when he was learning himself.

It would be much easier to profile what a good leader should not be:

He/She should not be connected to drugs, murder or secret societies with their own agenda.

He/She should not launder money through his/her legal firm.

He/She should not be a war monger.

He/She should not have family ties to Hitler (and those like him).

He/She should not attend Bilderberg meetings while either holding a public office or while his/her spouse is holding a public office.

He/She should not have a dad and brother convicted of mafia crimes.

He/She should not be against the established laws of the country, state, county or city in which he/she is holding office & should have to abide by those laws the same as anyone else.

In a nutshell, a leader should be who he/she presents himself/herself to be and not be a fiction of the media.

Here's a short and sweet answer. Find someone who doesn't want the job, find someone who doesn't want power, and find someone that has some decency, ethics and morals.

I could go on, but I won't waste everyones time with my ogre ranting

Must always look for the combination of alphabets as characteristics for the noun. Because the word that has been created is a very innovative in explanation;

GENEROSITY -
freely giving more of something than is necessary or expected or in another explanation as kind towards others.

REGARD -
consider in a particular way, gaze at in a specific manner, pay attention and heed or concern.

EXCEL -
be exceptionally good at any activity or working performance and free chain from any failure make progress especially once obliged.

ALERT -
always on alert and perform quick response to potential problems and make solutions, intellectually active.

TRUSTWORTHY -
able to e related on a honest, truthful or reliable in handling all respective matters.

LEVERAGE -
the power to influence peoples to make vision, missions and objectives to be a reality.

EAGER -
strongly wanting to do good things to the peoples.

ADMIRABLE -
manage to supports good matters to to be better and promote changing bad things to be good things.

DESIRE -
wishing for something good through specific measurable and achievable planning.

ESTEEM -
versatility to give respect and take admiration from others.

REASONABLE -
equalize the supply and demand when attending any case.

Great leaders come in many forms. In one sense solid leadership is a subjective thing, in another there are certain characteristics that are, by consensus, typical of quality leadership. Leadership is the process of influencing team members to work hard towards, and be committed to, team goals. Leaders can either be task-oriented or person-oriented. Task-oriented leaders are most interested in training, instructing behavior, performance and winning. Person-oriented leaders are more interested in the interpersonal relationships on the team. Great leaders in sports are both task- and people-oriented, but lean more towards being task-oriented.

Leaders must possess the qualities they are trying to incorporate into their team. For example, if you want members to be confident, have self-control, be disciplined, etc., then you must first possess all these traits. One of the most powerful things you can do is lead by example. You serve as an influential role model for your players and everything you do will be watched. Vince Lombardi says, "Leaders are made, they are not born; and they are made just like anything else has every been made in this country - by hard work" (Dowling, 1970, p. 179).

Great leaders are often scholars in their field and are intelligent. Like all great scholars, they aren't know-it-alls, they feel there is always more to learn and have a willingness to admit mistakes. Outstanding leaders make decisions based on facts, and apply common sense and simplicity to complex tasks. You must select the right strategy for the right situation, even when the pressure is overwhelming. They are well organized, detail-oriented and, due to their thorough preparation, rarely caught off guard. Their great knowledge allows them to be great educators and motivators. They are also smart enough to know that many times they will have to alter what they originally planned due to changing circumstances, so flexibility and having an open mind are crucial to leadership.

He or she should be educated, articulate, a people person who knows about his or her issue. They need to be aware of the issues that make their policy change hard.

I believe someone who has a lot of compassion and understanding for the people of the country, a strong person who will not take rubbish from other countries if it is not in the best interest of their people, and one that really listens to the people and does their best to make as many people happy as possible...

i have lots of ideas of how a great leader should be.. and i can type for hours.... but, those are only ideals...
a leader can have a very impressive educational background and a very high I.Q. but sucks in decision making...

I think one thing that any great leader should have is Honesty.

Remember when Washington cut down the cherry tree? when questioned he said I can not tell a lie?

Well I think our leaders should go back to that kind of integrity.....and maybe and leaders and politicians will be less corrupt.
