Anyone here knows how to bake a cake?

I never bake as this is not our custom to bake food in my family. I do hope that I know something about it so that I can let you know some information about baking. Anyway, it is a good idea to learn to bake by yourself to save money. Happy baking, friend.

I have baked many cakes. Here is what you do: buy a cake or dessert cookbook, pick out a recipe that looks interesting, follow the instructions, and you will have a wonderful cake. It's not so hard, just follow the instructions.

Hi wishing you fun having these baking lessons. Baking is great. I am not good with big cakes and icing and such but my favorites are muffins or sponge cakes they are very easy to make and are delicious, in fact best either eaten when they are still lukewarm or one day after baking and the mix has somehow "set".

I am not a professional in baking cakes. However I have a collection of recipes and with me I have several cake recipes. I think today I am going to give you a very simple to prepare yet delicious chocolate cake recipe. Here it is:

Yoghurt Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

150 g yoghurt
1 cup flour
2 cups self raising flour
2 cups white sugar
1 cup boiling water
250 g butter
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups cocoa powder
3 eggs

Method:

1. Mix cocoa powder, flour, self raising flour, baking powder and sugar together in a mixing bowl. Mix evenly.
2. Add in butter and yoghurt, mix evenly using a low speed mixer.
3. Add in vanilla essence and egg, beating slowly and evenly.
4. Add in the boiling water and stir or mix until it is evenly mixed together.
5. Bake in the oven until it is cooked.
