I think she's more flexible and has more experience. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't like Regine. I just have to choose one so I'm choosing Mariah. I think even Regine looks up to her and acknowledges Mariah as one of her musical influences.

regine has got talent, but not as good as mariah carey.
Mariah's voice is far different than regine's.
I'm not saying regine is not good enough, she sings well. I like some of her songs.

However, I consider Mariah Carey better than her. Regine herself had admitted it that she admires Mariah so much and had even used one Mariah's styles during one of her concerts.

| 7. trinihd (660) | 1 year ago |  I agree, no one can really compare to Mariah, she has that amazing voice, and she has sold so many records, and broken a lot of longstanding records too (with 17 #1 songs, how can she not?), so there really is no comparison. I have heard of Regine, funnily enough, through a music video for The Pretender (my fave tv series), actually one of my favorite Pretender fan videos that apparently was made with a Regine song, so I looked up the lyrics and found the name of the artist. And I think Regine has a decent voice, I liked the song she did that they used for The Pretender video, but there are not many voices that can compare to Mariah's and not be found wanting! Mariah is "the voice"! No one can hit the high notes like she can, or sing with such expressiveness and soulfulness, or write such beautiful lyrics.
