how often do your children call you?

I don't have any kids for the moment but I can tell you that me and my mom call each other every 2-3 weeks. We don,t need to call eah other more. But since I'M pregnant, things have change a little bit. We are calling each other at least once a week:P

Hi, my children are 2o and almost 22. I have been away from Holland for about a year know.
My children don´t call me. My mother does. She tells me everything about the kids. Thank God. Children don´t have time. They are living there own lives.
Every once in a while I will get an email.
One thing I have noticed, when I ask to many motherly questions, they don´t answer. Children like to feel grown up and don´t want mothers to ask them if they have perpared enough clothing. That is no longer your problem.
They can take care of themselves.
What You can talk about, about friends, is he having a good time. How are the lessons going? Is it easy or hard work? Try to focus on how you would feel in his situation.
And be happy. You at least hear him once a week. I don´t.

My daughter is only thirteen now but I call my mother frequently. I talk to her between 3 and 4 times a week. We have become quite close over the years. I also talk to my brother daily. I talk to my father about twice a week. He's not much of a talker so we gab less. I think the younger generation don't understand yet that life is short and mothers are very important and keeping in contact and showing love is important. When my daughter used to go visit others for a week she would call me almost every day and sometimes I would call her because I missed her so much.
