Reality Show: The Most Terrible Family

I would say that if you as a parent have some question as to wheather or not you'r children should be watching a piticular program, then most likely they shouldn't .

Young children have not yet grasp the difference between what they see on tv and what they view out the living room window. So to them, everything they see is "real".

You didn't mention the ages of your children but I'm assumming they are young. So even the smallest of things to us as an adult, can leave long term impressions on a child, who does not yet have the ability to decide if what they see is " entertainment " Or the guy next door abusing his wife.

I don't think there is anything wrong with tv, my kids always had favorite shows and still do . But I do think we need to apply parental controll in this area and find programs that are age sutible.

After the kids go to bed, you and your husband can enjoy the more adult situations we see so often.

There are whole series of shows that I won't let my children watch. I can't stand them. The lack of respect and out right "who cares" attitudes just drive me nuts.

No, if you have reservations about it, then you are correct in not letting them watch it. Especially children that can't comperhend that this is acting and wrong. There are a few show that we've seen commercials for and my kids are like "Mom, did you see how that boy talked to his mom!"

That's the kind of things I want to avoid! If you're interested in some show, but feel that gut feeling moving around, then follow it. Tape it so you can watch it later with out little eyes.
