Do you think that just because a person failed at something they tried .. |

Do you think that just because a person failed at something they set out to do..makes them a bad person..? Have you ever had plans to do something at a point in your life and little by little the plans were undone for you? Do you think it was your fault or that God allowed it to happen so that you could what He wanted you to do?

It was something I worked at for years, and it didn't work out. I considered myself a failure despite my best efforts. After some years I realized that what I considered a great failure was my greatest accomplishment. I don't think I was at fault. I think I was doing exactly what God wanted me to do.

littlefranciscan (4288) | 10 months ago | Thanks for your nice post..that is how I feel..now..about a certain point in my life..at the time ..I felt the opposite of how I feel now..and I think part of it is because many who were close to me pointed their fingers and made fun of this difficult time.. I accepted their ways as par for the course..but it's natural for others to pass judgement on others not knowing how deep already the pain is before they add the salt to the wound:)

littlefranciscan (4288) | 10 months ago | At the time ..it was maybe more difficult..but as I see it now..it was a grace..I really believe ..all things are a grace. I also believe that "unless the grain of wheat falls unto the ground and dies it remains but a single grain; but if it dies it bears much fruit"

2. LittleMel (4659) | 10 months ago | If I looked back, most plans I made were not working out. It wasn't God, it was people who did not want me to be happy and be successful. But I kept going and then my time came. I left them and since then my life is a lot better. They said everything blossoms in time. I still don't think failures are God's work, unless these failures will save your life or something. Sometimes we are just not prepared and so we failed. Bad person fails like everyone else, but failure doesn't make a good person bad. We just have to try again.

littlefranciscan (4288) | 10 months ago | Yes..try and try again..that is what Our Lord would have us do..Isn't it something how once we have come through the storms..we can look back and see how good it was for us to have passed through it..but when we are being tossed here and there..we wonder weather we will remain afloat or sink..Good thing we know who the Captain of our ship is:)

We learn more from our mistakes than from anything else. Anyone who tries to make another peron feel bad about failing is a small person indeed. I think that sometimes people who don't think well of themselves, look for opportunities to make others feel small. Perhaps pitying them would help.. Pitying a monster makes the monster seem like a very pathetic creature.

littlefranciscan (4288) | 10 months ago | You are exactly right..such people are to be pitied..Afterall, why would they assume the position of pointing a finger unless they themselves thought they had the right. Pity for both parties, but the one who failed is the better person: as you say.
