How to write a book? Can anyone give suggestions?

First and foremost she must have discipline of writing (own words and referrals word). To learn it in speedy way she has to buy one famous health book and started her observation from cover to the end cover of that particular book.

If she was graduate as B.Sc, it is easy to tell because it is just like preparing one study thesis. OK may I suggest the basic learning of it. Look at the "Table of Content" of each book, it includes;

1. Introduction,
2. Motives or Objectives,
3. Title 1, 2, 3,....., last title. And it must be arranged in well mannered for which title to be the first as all titles are inter-related to each other and in the sequel order.,
4. Summary,
5. Referrals name, title, year of published, book referral name and edition/volume/published date.
6. Learn how to write footnote for any page that have referrals words/sentences.

The previous responder told you some good advice. If your friend has had experience writing research papers or had to prepare a thesis then he may do well.. if not, she may need to take a course on writing. If she has never written a book it could be quite daunting. Follow what poster number 1 said... I can't really add anything better to that.

In the first place you should have a good story in mind.
Secondly select an attractive title.
Thirdly split the story into chapters.
Make each chapter into several paragraphs.
Determine the size of the book
Type chapter after chapter. Take a draft and read it next day or week later. You will see some of the paragraph require modification.
Edit it, check for grammer mistakes, ensure highsounding words are used to make it grace and gives strength to the characters in the book. Get it reviewed by a person who has studied English literature so that construction of sentences and grammer mistakes are corrected.
Then make the corrections to the book, submit the manufascript to a publisher who will tell how much royalty he will pay for publishing it. Try to include pictures/cartoons/graphic pesentation to make it more interesting and menaingful.

Then you keep writing until its finished.

AND then you go back & revise it.

She should just start writing. Sit down and do it! it doesn't have to make sense to begin with, that comes with reading through and changing this and that. Good on her!

Before starting my book, I selected five other books that were similar to what I wanted to write and studied them. I looked at how they were organized, what information might have been missing, what information wasn't covered well enough, and if the books had source material quoted from experts or other notable people in the field. Then, I outlined the topic, created an outline, and drafted each chapter lightly.
