Zeitgeist movie: Have you seen it? |
|
Did this movie get you thinking? Your views will be very much appreciated. My daughter sent me email from Prague to watch Zeitgeist movie months ago. I watched for a few minutes on YouTube and stopped. The introduction of hypnotic multicolor squares and flashing images and sounds made me turn away. I didn't get around watching the whole two hour film until last night when I finally got it on video. It is a compelling and thought provoking film. It covers religion, 911 and the financial institutions. The most intriguing and quite informative is the part 3 of Zeitgeist where people began to be slaves to their debts and the chips being implanted to every human being in the future. I stand critical about the religious information and comparisons to Christianity, paganism and Egyptian Myth. I have to research more on the validity of data that were presented. This film makes you THINK but not convincing enough for me. Its strategy is presenting theories, flashing relative images, challenging the viewer to react upon issues the world is facing today and the future.

| 2. amazedcreations (1) | 7 months ago | I loved this documentary. I thought the religion section was brilliant, and the best explanation I'd ever got. I've asked a LOT of questions about religion, but this just made a lot of things make sense. I made a website about it, drop by and leave your thoughts, both positive and negative. http://www.squidoo.com/zeitgeistmovie Cheers!

moolahmagnet (1617) | 7 months ago | This documentary movie is interesting and have been quite controversial. For those easily convinced take it as it is with awe but the skeptics are compelled to find out for themselves, for the truth may not be told, it is realized. This movie aims to make you think and not convinced.

moolahmagnet (1617) | 5 months ago | That makes sense, seems like you have an engineering know-how there. I don't pay attention much on steels and concrete stuff, but all I can remember after watching it, is that the WTC collapsed like one of those building demolition flicks as they did in Vegas. Funny though, I've just watched it again tonight with some friends who are religious and have firm beliefs. They themselves were quite astounded with the theories presented. Little did they know that there are some flaws in part 1. But then they refused to be convinced. Cheers & thanks!

Aussies2007 (2502) | 5 months ago | I did some more thinking about it... since posting this... and the idea of sabotage is simply not possible. In demolition... when you bring a building down that way... you have to cut 90 percent of the beams before putting the explosif on them. Otherwise... the explosif blow everything around the beam... except the beam. Now there was 114 high speed lifts in those buildings... creating a huge deplacement of air. If the beams had been cut... the building would have collapsed as soon as you used the lifts. But if you don't believe that one... if those beams had been cut... the building would have collapsed the second the plane crashed into it. The problem with those movies... is that they start with a perfectly good credible story... then get excited... lose the plot... and lose all their credibility in the process. Same thing did happen in "Fahrenheit".
