Would there be anything that would make you leave your kids?

I actually KNOW personally women that have done just that very thing. They are nuts. And if this Drew has been married a few times before her, she is a multiple time loser to have hooked up with him.

I don't get it either, I know the majority of parents wouldn't do this at all. However, I'm no longer surprised hearing about parents abandoning kids (especially for a new "love" -_-). Personally, there would be nothing to make me leave my kids (except abuse of the courts by a vindictive ex, but in that case I have ZERO choice in the matter). And before I forget, I've seen a couple of cases where the parent ends up leaving the kids due to that parent being a potential risk to them; or in a very unusual case I saw, the whole family hits rock bottom and is denied help from the government due to the presence of the husband (one guy decided to live in car over this). Sorry to drag on, but these did come to mind.

Hi mooch! If my husband is abusive, I will walk away from him but won't leave my kids behind. And maybe the only reason I will walk away from it all is if I am already dead and cold somewhere. That is just my personal view, I just don't think a mother can just walk away like that without making any contact one way or another. Just my thoughts. take care and have a nice day!:)

No way!! The only way to get me from my husband and kids would have to be by force. I just can't imagine walking away from my family like nothing and going on with my life. I think anyone who has the ability to do that has some severe issues and needs professional help.

For me, the answer is NO! My children are the best thing that ever happened to me. When I look at them I have such a joyous feeling that I cant begin to explain. I have seen women, and men leave there children. To be honest, I dont understand it. From the very first day of their little lives they are a blank slate ready to be written. Excuse me If I sound philosophic, but I cant think of a better way to describe it. I was a young mother. I had my child at 17. She was born at 29 weeks gestation and weighted 2 pounds 3 ounces. Unfortunately for me, this wasnt a textbook delivery. My baby went through he** to be here. From the beginning she was a fighter. Knowing this helped me to raise her into the women she is. I believe that it goes back to the way our great, great, great..... grand parents raised our grand great grand parents and so forth. Some of the morals and values that were instilled in each of them was passed on to us through our ancestors. Our parents were taught from there parents and so on. If we had parents that werent taught the importance of raising children, our views or parenting may be different. If other family members were allowed to be directly involved of discipline and setting boundaries then the closeness that parents/children have may not be present. This would account for them not really caring if they leave because other family members would take over. Please dont get me wrong. I have seen people with the most hideous upbringing turn out with the best morals,values, and relationship to their children. This isnt the norm, just an answer to why in some cases parents leave their children. I guess the decision whether you would walk away would depend on what you believe holds the most importance. If its not your children or family, there is a chance a person could justify their reason for leaving. I could never leave my children. They are my reason for existing. I enjoy every part of parenting(even the teen years!)lol

Kids unconditionally come first.
I will have to wait to realize my life's happiest moment because of kids and that there is nothing that can separate a mother from her children.
They come first.
All else comes second.
Even true love for another.
My kids are grown and in a sense I'm leaving them to move 5 hours away. I won't be around much anymore. I'm closing the door on this life and moving on to my life.
There comes a time when it is okay to put yourself first. To take care of your own heart first.
When your kids are older and becoming more self sufficient, it is okay to put a need or a desire of your own to the front.
I would never ask a mother to make a choice...me or her kids. It's just not in me.
These people who decide to kill their children, or leave them to think they'd died... there must be something mentally and emotionally wrong upstairs to make someone do that sort of thing.

Nothing could make me walk away from my daughters. They are a part of me and always will be. They are both grown now. I would still be there for them if they needed me. I love being apart of their lives. Watching my grandchildren grow. I wouldn't give it up for anyhting.
