"beheaded a man to appease goddess for wealth"....cannibalism or..?

In a very cruel manner yesterday a man beheaded another man to appease a goddess for wealth in a district near here.

People saw him sucking blood from the victim's body,caught him and started beating him. The accused was rescued by police from the public and sent him to a hospital where his condition said to be critical.

When the police contacted the mother of the accused she told that "My son had worshipped a diety in the forest on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. The goddess had asked him to kill the person he saw first in the morning to get wealth as per his expectation.So, he carried out the instructions".

Is it a cannibalism or what in your opinion?
