My DVD player is toast and its not worth replacing

I have three Dvd players, one connected to my TV which I find too complicate with all the remote controls as I also have a video connected to the TV, I just never use it, I have one connected to my computer which get a little use but the one I love the most is my portable DVD player, it has a battery attachment, I have it in a carry case and I can take it with me, I love it...

Anything that is in working condition of course. maybe you could browse the local store for clearance sales. My dvd player broke before I moved. it was cheaper to buy a new one so I left it in the shop. Good luck on finding a sale.

I have a Toshiba High definition myself, but it is expensive and besides we probably might have to buy a Blue-Ray one as well.
We had a Phillips one and we gave it to our younger son and it was one of the first Dvd ones. We had it fixed just once and then it worked fine.

I don't have any recommendations, but I did go to walmart.com (I know, I know, some people hate walmart:P) and I found a few for under $40.00. The one I bought was under $45, I believe, but it was a few years ago and apparently they don't sell this brand (Emerson) of DVD anymore.

If you just want a DVD player, check Target. They should have what you need and it will be reasonable priced.good luck.

I don't have any recommendations, but I will be sure to check back in to see what others have to say since I am in the market for a DVD player as well.

They make things these days to be throw away! It cost way more to repair something as to go out and get a new one!

You can also sort them by product Rating...Quite a few of the Colby's were right there at the top and there was one listed for $29.99

I have also seen other sites where people have rated the JVC, Sony and Daytek pretty well.

My dvd player quit just before Christmas and my son had given it to me about 2 1/2 years ago too! Of course this year he gave me another one and it's a Sony. So far so good with it.

I would go for a blu ray.... I think that it is the dvd player of the future. However, I would wait - prices are bound to come down in the nest 6 months - year.
