 what may have started out as fund and wrestling and goofing off turned into a lot more than that when a teacher broke a students finger what is being disputed is whether it was done in anger or not

2.  tyc415 (3251) | 11 months ago |  Ouch that had to hurt. I would hope that it was just horse play that got away from both of them and nothing done on purpose. Either the teacher felt so bad for what happened that he quit or he did do it on purpose and thought he better get while the getting is good and not get fired.
I believe in the saying that boys will be boys and I am learning that the age of the boys don't matter. Some older men can be just like a teen age boy when it comes to rough housing.

I think the teacher should have brought the kid to the nurse and not told him not to go and not tell on him. I guess he got scared. However, I do think the teacher is liable for what happened. The teacher was within his/her rights to defend his/herself, but it just escalated out of control. It's too late when the damage is done and even though the kid is sorry and the teacher is forced to resign the case should never have gone as far as it did, but the teacher had the right to defend him/herself so why are the parents even considering suing? I sure hope it gets sorted out.

6.  suspenseful (13377) | 11 months ago |  Isn't an anger management teacher to show students how to control their anger? You should not wrestle with a child if you are an adult. There are other ways to control anger. Why not run around the gym for a time, do jumping jacks? To me, having a friendly wrestling match is not the right way unless it is between two students. The teacher should not have grabbed the finger, in fact, he should not have been wrestling with the student anyway. He did it all the wrong way.
