Did anyone see Ellen today?

On today's show Ellen opened the show with a card trick. I came in at the tail end of the show this morning so when it came on this afternoon I had a deck of cards ready to play along. The audience played along, and I played along. I couldn't believe it worked! The card that was supposed to be left was the one we picked in the beginning.

Now, my daughter and I have tried it three times since. We wrote down the instructions (or what we remember to be the instructions) but we can't seem to get it right. Frustrating!

If you haven't seen the show yet in your area, will you please play along, write down the instructions and post them here. Maybe we wrote them down wrong. I can't figure out why we can't do it again. Everyone in the audience got it too (everyone had a different card but it was the one they picked).

My kids love card tricks, but this one has us boggled. Or as Ellen said, she really freaked our freak - What the February?!
