do you agree that money is the root of all evil?

I do not think it depends upon those people who handle it. If money in evil people or evil hands it may used for evil purpose and those in good hand for good purpose. Hence I feel if the the human attitude human intentions are evil it might be the root of evil.

Those persons whose intentions and attitude are evils and if they have money they may opt for evil purposes. Those with good intention may use for better and good purposes. Hence I hope that it not money it the people's intentions and attitude that projects in the money they possess or use.

The love of money is the root of all evil, is my opinion.
Some people only live for their money, and what material things
they can buy.
When people use that money to help others, then the happiness will
come. When they store it away and save it, grabbing every little
thing so they can have a great life now or in the future, and
then the economy crashes and they lose it all, where is their
happiness then?
When we have what we need (not want), live a simple life, worship
God and do His will. Then will we know what happiness, serenity
and peace is all about.

I guess it depends on the person. If the person allows money to rule there life then yes they may create evil to get as much money as they can.

i beg to disagree. money is power. is is you who will decide whether to use that power in doing good or evil. personally, i would use it both. i will use the money to help other people especially those in needs, like orphans and old people. i will use it to make a change in the community like repairing roads, building schools, etc. i will use the money to buy good things for the people like food and clothes. on the other hand, i can also use money to punish those people who are doing evil. evil versus evil. mouth to mouth, eye for an eye.

No money is not the root cause of all evil.It depends on the way how we spend our money.If we use it for charity and buy the things we like and help the poor then its not evil.If we use money for any bad activity then its evil.

I believe money is one of the roots of evil but not the only root of evil. This is because we cannot deny the fact that we need money to go about our lives. I definitely agree with you that it depends on man how he would use the money; he can use it in a good way such as to help others or to provide for your family's needs. There are other roots of evil like desiring after another man's wife or spreading lies or rumors about somebody else. Thanks for posting this interesting topic.
