What is the worse movie you've ever seen? (just pick 1) |
My husband & I recently watched(but did not finish)the movie "Me, Myself, & Irene". It started off okay(a little silly but not too bad), but by the middle of the movie I was ready to shut it off. This movie was so disgusting, crude, & just downright gross. Besides that every word out of Jim Carrey's 3 sons in the movie was one cuss word after another. Finally I had had enough & I told my husband to shut it off. I refused to watch any more of it. I was very disappointed in Jim Carrey. True I don't like all his movies, but this one was the worse movie I have ever seen in my life. The only scene that I thought was even remotely funny is the photo I have displayed beneath this question. That was it. My advice: Don't waste your time nor your money on this film.

1. sunnypub (1573) | 9 months ago | Well the first movie I ever walked out on or drove out since we were at the drive in, was The Cable Guy. My husband and I tried to stay but we just thought it was horrible. I have since watched a couple other movies that I rented and eventually turned off because they were horrible. I think the worst for me has to be Beowolf. Not the new one, but an old one with Christopher Lambert. It was truly awful and I was so disappointed in it. I remember reading Beowolf as a child and I just loved it so I had high hopes for the movie. Boy was I let down big time. Don't waste your time on this version. I haven't seen the new one yet but I have to believe it is better than the old version.

2. hotranger41 (415) | 9 months ago | The worst movie i watched was ' the sign'. It was directed by M. N. shyamlan and the lead actor was Brus willis. I thought it might have good story and suspense. But the movie was a sh*t. After sixth sense, i was expecting the movie might have ingredients as sixth sense. But what a headache the movie was. God bless me for tolerating

robsbrooklyngirl (3114) | 9 months ago | Not sure which movie your talking about, but I really liked the Six Sense not to mention the ending. It totally blew my mind.

hotranger41 (415) | 9 months ago | Now i am sure the movie was completely sh*t. 'The sign' was a movie from the maker of 'the sixth sense' which was a huge success. But you see 'the sign' did not even create a ripple also. I am sure most movie lover are unaware of it. No wonder

3. jayperiod (694) | 9 months ago | I started watching Ladykillers, with Tom Hanks, and ended up being so offended (racially, and I'm not black) that I couldn't finish it. I only got about 30 minutes in and just couldn't stand any more. It really lowered my respect for Tom Hanks that he would involve himself with it.

| oneinchsidehop (23) | 9 months ago | Jay, that's a good comment, but that was the point of the movie. It wasn't to return culture to grease-paint stereo types, but to (lightly) poke fun at them and the fact that they still exist. After growing up in the south, I tend to have a hair trigger for racism. (Most of my friends growing up were black, but not all) Still, I can picture in my mind each of the characters (more accurately charactaures). I grew up with folks in black churches (the term that they preferred at the time, yes it's changed, but we're talking about historical parody remember?) that fit the older couple to the "t". (I loved that lady, just because she reminded me of other people I loved). As the movie unfolded it was almost like Edgar Allan Poe meets the 3 Stooges. I don't know if you made it that far but Hank's character was a con-man, a con-man that only a dingbat would follow. His character was an actor... that couldn't quite stay in character. I felt the same way in the beginning, but wondered WHERE they would be going with this... it ended up being worth the wait. I'm certainly not arguing with your opinion, but*maybe* it's worth another look. The first 30 minutes were rough. The last 2 minutes made it worthwhile for me. But if you don't like southern stereotypes pushed past the point of credibility, all for the sake of parody, you might not like it still.

5. hallmarkjl (249) | 9 months ago | I must say that I did like Me, Myself, & Irene. I found it very funny, but I am very much use to people cussing and whatnot around me. I grew up with a father who, i dont believe, spoke a sentence without a cuss word in it. Anyway... I think the worst movie I've seen was Rent. I know a lot of people who liked it, but I did not care for it. I only watched not exectly half of it and turned it off. I do like some musicals, but that one was not for me. It had nothing to do with the peoples sexual choices or anything like that. I just found the movie boring and dull. My husband did not like it either, he fell asleep about 30 mins into the movie.

robsbrooklyngirl (3114) | 9 months ago | I love most musicals, but I have to agree. When I saw the coming attractions for this movie Rent it didn't look appealing at all. You have just confirmed to me that it is as boring as I suspect. Thanks for saving me some money in a rental LOL.

Screech (403) | 9 months ago | If you think Jim Carrey is a retard(I don't like this word) then I can't find a word to describe the moron Benny Hill.

robsbrooklyngirl (3114) | 9 months ago | See now I loved the movie Titanic when it first came out, but my sister watched it so much when it came out on DVD that I soon got sick of it. To this day I still can't bare to watch this movie even one more time. My sister has ruined it for me for life I think. As for the Celine Dion song, I love that song, but you are right they overplayed it way too much.

7. cortjo73 (2243) | 9 months ago | Ishtar! I think Dustin Hauffman was in it. I could be mistaken. It was out in the 80's and my parents took us to see it. It sucked. No one in the theater laughed. Everyone hated it! Worst movie ever! BTW, I can't even remember what it was about. All I can remember was that we left at the end all dumbfounded by the fact that we would never get that time back in our lives. That fact still smarts!

robsbrooklyngirl (3114) | 9 months ago | It must have been a horrible movie because I never even heard of it.
| |
cortjo73 (2243) | 9 months ago | It really was. I can't even begin to tell you how bad it was. But, to give you an idea, I have a really bad memory. I can't even remember most of the movies I have seen inside of the past year. I remember the last one I saw in the theater was Cloverfield but, I think I only remember that because it was really good and I was so excited to go see it. But, for the most part, I can have either rented or gone to see a movie in the theater and, perhaps a year or two later, won't remember if I actually saw it, and if I did, how it ended. How bad is that? So, for me to remember the name Ishtar and that it was so bad, from 20 some years ago, that is really impressive! That is how bad it was! LOL!

8. jameskempton (119) | 9 months ago | The worst film I have ever seen has got to be "Elizabeth Town". It starts Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst and they had random mobile phone conversations, they go on a road trip but nothing happens, and then just as I was nodding off there was a random scene where a huge artificial bird caught fire and was swinging above a crowd of people for no apparent reason. The story didn't exist and never developed into anything, and the film suddenly ended, as if by magic. I was so pleased it was over.

robsbrooklyngirl (3114) | 9 months ago | I lived in KY for 8 years & everyone made such a big deal over this movie because it was filmed in KY. My sister & husband rented it & they hated it. They said it was very boring, so boring in fact that they didn't even bother to watch it till the end. After hearing that I immediately took it off my NetFlix list.

| 9. lbruno533 (4) | 9 months ago | Hmmm, there are a lot of poorly written movies out there, but one of the worst has to be Idocricy with Luke Wilson. The premise is a future that is run by people who are completely careless, ignorant, uneducated, and lazy, causing the world to be in total disarray. Luke Wilson underwent an experiment, was sealed in a time capsule, and then later awoke to this horror of a society. I could not stand watching it. It was an extreme version of where we could be headed as a society. Anyway, that is my take for the worst movie I have ever seen.

perrytx (1919) | 9 months ago | I liked Idocricy. You might have to watch it a second time as I did with the kids. It is a statement on society and how much lower mankind can become in the future with "intelligence" as being replaced with vulgar humor. Even the president frequently shoots the finger. The scene in the hospital is eerily close to the real thing!

10. moneyandgc (3052) | 9 months ago | Hmm, I only get to pick one? My husband has made me watch plenty of stupid movies since we have been together. Me, Myself and Irene didn't bother me at all. I am used to that type of humor though. If you didn't like that, do not watch Grandma's Boy! When I read the discussion the first movie that popped in my head was From Dusk Til Dawn. It was with Quentin Tarantino and George Clooney. I hated it. I have to throw this is there too though. I absolutely could not stand the movie May. My husband reminded me of this when I asked him to remember the movies I didn't like. Maybe that is the worst. I will never watch that movie again. I didn't get through the whole thing the first time.

| waterinthegun (3) | 9 months ago | The worst movie I've seen is Freddy Got Fingered. It's the only comedy I've seen that is practically traumatizing. Unless your idea of humor is swinging a baby around by its umbilical cord, I say AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

moneyandgc (3052) | 9 months ago | Is that with Tom Green? I don't watch any of his movies. I think he is a moron. My husband says that the worst movie he has seen is Jackass 2. The only movie that has made him physically ill.
