Ghosts in the Graveyard anyone? | | does anyone remember playing this game or one similar to it when they were younger? What about Bloody Mary? Now a days it seems kids are no longer scared of their imaginations. and these games have died. I remember playing Bloody Mary in the bathroom at my grandmothers house. All my cousins standing around me in the dark room as we stared into the mirror. Our imaginations running wild and free. It never took long before someone screamed "I see her" and we would all bolt out the door. Or when we played ghosts in the graveyard. Which is similar to tag. Every one hides while one person counts. This game is played at night. And when the seeker spots someone, he yells "Ghosts in the graveyard" and every one bolts back to the safe zone. I remeber playing one time in a golf course. i ran so hard and so fast that when i hit the pavement, i slipped and scuffed my leg so badly i still have the scar. It just seems these days kids are indoors more, television has killed their imagination and you cant even scared them by sneaking up on them. I just remember a time when anything was possible and the greatest game ever played was in the dark closet at home.

I think kids these days aren't into those games because there are things like tv, DVD, Playstation, Nintendo DS, etc. They don't have to use their imaginations as much as we did, because they have a gazillion other things to keep them entertained. Also, I think parents are more protective of their kids these days. I live in a very safe neighborhood (I grew up in this neighborhood), but I rarely see kids out after dark. When I was growing up, we'd stay out until well after dark playing in our yard or the neighbor's yard.
