i have been separated with my boyfriend for 10months already. but were stil tough enough to keep on believing on what we call LOVE. loving someone is something that requires in return...in reality nothing is unconditional love..unless its GOD or you MOTHER loving you..but even GOD has standards and conditions to have the blessings he gives to the poeple he loves. so on a long distance relationships it actually requires exchange of actions and deeds to let the person show his/her importance..and because physical touches are missing it is really difficult to express what is inside...either anger,lonliness,happiness,or anything.. and thats the challenge! thats the test that the both of them should pass trough
on my experience of being away to my man...trust and understanding is nothing but everything..
it is really painful to be on this kind of relationship since the partner has also the responsibility to comfort the other. it feels like theres a missing piece on my everyday living...it feels so different from those moments that we see each other everyday but its still him who's with me holding my hand, no matter how many miles it is in between.

It is alright for less period of time say few months, but if the time gap is more, then relationship gets effected. It will also depend upon the closeness and intimacy, how intimate and close were two lovers, before they separated. If they were very close and committed to each others, then it may work and they may wait for say 2-3 years for them to re-unite.
