What is the best thing to do if someone betrays you?

The relationship between us will change, drastically. The way we talk and spend time together will be totally different than before. My time with this person will be limited. I will still love them, but I won't be around them as much.

I've never forgotten those that have hurt me in this way. Many have thankfully been out of my life and unfortunatly because of what they did to me, we lost all friendship. I have no sadness, because I have denied their existence myself. It's better that way.
Revnge may be a dish best served cold and this one is the best. Deny them and leave them be.

Avoid the person as much as possible until I am ready to forgive. It is painful to be betrayed but it's even more painful to give a second chance and be betrayed again. I don't think the saying forgive and forget is effective. I have a hard time forgetting...

Yes, and I believe the same goes for family members as well--denying their existence. I've been mad at my female first cousin for a while now that I have totally stopped contacting her by phone and e-mail. Hence, denying her existence. From that, I was able to move on with my life. I have other cousins, and denying one is not going to keep me from living my life and handling my responsibilities.

it think the best thing to do is to avoid such person and move on with your life, i know at such time it is always hard to do, but doing it pays. when ever someone betrays you, you shouldn't give them the opportunity to do that again.

I never trust them again, but I'm still nice to them. Nothing makes a nasty person crazier than being nice to them.

I had this woman I worked with that hated me and I actually heard her say that it was hard to be mean to me when I was so nice.

Didn't help me much, but it made her CRAZY!

My husband lied and betrayed me, before i do really not care abou that but when I found and I got my proof now, all I know is - its hard to forgive and forget everything...

It is better to keep distance with them. But do such things they must know his/her mistake.

Betrayal is the last thing i want in life. But if someone i care or a very close friend, (excludes family members) betrays me, I'd would never forgive them but i would like to listen to his/her honest explanation face to face. From there, i'll consider whether to forgive him/her. IF he/she tells me honestly, i'll forgive. If i still feel like he/she is telling not telling the truth, i'll make sure i plan something for him/her that would make him/her learn a lesson. Which i think the best thing to do is to stay away from him/her as far as you could and to ignore even to the extend to treat him/her not as a friend anymore. But of course, in life, when we make important decisions like this, where it has to do with someone we care, we must make a wise decision. Weighing the good vs bad after effect of any decision made in life.:)

to deny is the best to do and not giving an importance to you for that they wont easy get your attention and get you harm again.
