hiccup (3378) | 4 months ago | At 50 years of age I went back to school full time after working all my life with my hands. At 55, I went to University, and got my Diploma of education in Food Technology. But this is what I have done all my like is work in FOOD. I feel we all can live better by eating better, see I did not say DIET I hate that word, its a bad word, because if you are on a DIET there is food you are not eating, Our brain and heart needs FAT to live, so if we take fat out of our DIET, what happens? we fall over DEAD, we have starved our heart and brain of the FOOD it needs. NOW there are bad FATS and GOOD fats, That's another story for another day. Eat well eat a large variety of foods this way you will stay healthy.

2. wickedangel (1388) | 4 months ago | I absolutely LOVE seafood and here in the Dom Rep I get the opportunity to eat it quite frequently although funnily enough it was cheaper in Spain!! Personally I can't get enough of it but unfortunately my BF has to be 'in the mood for seafood' before we can eat it so we normally have chicken, chicken and yep, chicken, lightly intermixed with some prawns once a week or so. We sometimes take Omega 3 vitamins too, the brain cells always need a bit of boost! Thanks for sharing this with us.

hiccup (3378) | 4 months ago | Fish is truly the brain food due to Omega3. I had heard about it did some reading and all they said was it did do what was claimed and I have not seen anything that talks against Omega3. (fish have plenty it seems) You can now buy other food with omega 3 in it like bread and breakfast foods. cheers

hiccup (3378) | 4 months ago | There are things they can do with our food to make it more healthy for us, See what they have done with white bread, omega3, vitamins, calcium, multi grain, and the list goes on same with milk, added cream, no cream, skim, milk for children, milk for nursing mothers, you need to stand there awhile and read what all this milk dose for you. But its good as we get what we need . cheers

4. DonnaLawson (1507) | 4 months ago | I am sorry but I do not like seafood, I do not like the taste nor the smell of seafood.. The doctors have recommended fish oil for my husband and he does take it faithfully.. But as for me, I do not like seafood, now what were we talking about, I forgot, (lol).. Just kidding, in reality, I do like flounder and if this helps with your memory and retaining information, everyone should eat seafood at least twice a week.. But again, a lot of mercury is found in seafood and that negates the good properties of eating fish.. Oh well, you can't win for losing.. have a good day and happy posting..

hiccup (3378) | 4 months ago | For those who do not like Seafood can always eat other foods with added Omega 3 (and no you cant taste it like fish). Fish and mercury use to be a problem and you can get charts that will tell you the safest fish to eat. There are some fish for some reason have a higher count of mercury than whats safe to eat, but again check this out and find the safe fish to eat. Commercial grown fish are OK, so they tell me.

| 6. fenicliu (79) | 3 months ago | It's true that some seafood can improve yourself memory. I also like to eat shrimp, lobster, and crab. Seafood is delicious, and with much nutrition in it. But don't eat to much, it will cause you diarrhea.
