Phone evidence emerges in Texas abuse case  | |  Document says Colo. woman linked to number used to phone in report
SAN ANGELO, Texas - A court document showed one phone number used to report alleged abuse at a polygamist retreat in Texas had been used previously by a 33-year-old Colorado Springs woman.
It remained unclear whether authorities suspected Rozita Swinton of making any of the calls that triggered the raid of the West Texas polygamist compound.
An arrest warrant affidavit made public Wednesday said a phone number Swinton had used previously was used for a call to a Texas crisis center before authorities raided the compound. Authorities removed more than 400 children from the polygamist compound. Swinton's whereabouts remained unknown.
