i saw on your Myspace where there was a book to sign and the obituary, I read it and signed the book for the family, although I did not know them, I think they can use prayers and thoughts from all over, I know tomorrow will be a rough day for you and the parents, and know that we are all with you in this and our prayers go out to you and them.

I remember thinking the same thing at my nephews funeral. He died unexpectedly when he was just 20 days old, and all I could think when I saw him was "He looks just like a little doll, sleeping." That was when it hit me that he was gone.

Hang in there. Your friends are all here to support you through this tough time.

My Sweet Raydene, you sure have been going thru alot. I am so glad that you have all of us to help you thru it. I think about your cousin Wanda and her husband, I just cannot imagine being in their shoes. How horrifing for all of you. Like you said we don't understand why but God chooses who stays and who goes and when it happens. You have a good attitude, being thankful and grateful for the years you did have with him. I think about Jason and the pain he must of been having for him to do something like this. My continued thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. It is amazing how the funeral palor people do such a good job and we never thank them for it. I have often noticed how peaceful and beautiful people look in their casket, sometimes even better than when they were alive.


Yes it is hard and yes once he funeral is over it will be a little bit better but it will still take a long while to heal, and that is okay hon, that is normal.

It's marvellous how they make them look so at peace, my friend, and I hope that it wasn't too daunting for you, because I know it was something you had to do. Such a tragedy.

I hope the service goes well tomorrow, and that you can find the strength to support Wanda, as I'm sure you will. You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers, my dear friend. My thought and prayers are with you. My nephew and his girlfriend were murdered by a drunk driver. It was a horrible crash. The funerals were one after the other. They managed to have open caskets, how they fixed them up after that, I don't know. They look like they are sleeping. I could not let go of my nephews hand, even though it was so cold. They had to pull me away. I wanted him to wake up. It was 9 years ago, but it seems like yesterday.

You described the presence of your nephew so well I had to smile. The funeral parlour people do seem to work so well at ensuring that the appearance of loved ones in the coffin at least brings comfort to our souls by making sure they look peaceful.

What a waste is right! I feel so sad for you and the rest of Jason's loved ones and I know you're hurting so badly right now. Please don't forget to take care of yourself as you go through the motions of going to the funeral tomorrow and as you give your love and support to his mother. Don't forget about YOU, Hon!
