Fears....

As a child i had a real fear of leaving my arms or legs hanging out of the bed,I always thought that something or someone was going to bite them off!!and this somethin or someone in my mind was under my bed,which i carefully checked every night before going to bed!!What the fear was about i will never really know it was just a childhood thing,The other thing that always scared me out of my wits was the dark,and i ha to have a night light on all of the time.For a very long time as a toddler i had my Mum sleep with me,i was really a pain as a child,i dont think Mum got many nights in her own be when i was small.

Well the fear that I have is always checking all my doors before I go to take a shower. If my husband is here, I may still do it. But I do it more if he is not at home with me. Nothing bad has happened to me before, and I pray that it never does. I am very cautious about leaving my doors in my house unlocked. I have to double check just to make sure. I guess the reason why I do this is because, there are so many bad things that has happened to people, especially women being raped and killed and perhaps kidnapped. I also will, check all my closets in the house when I find any of my front or back doors unlocked. It is just a level of caution.... I read a book called The Perfect Nightmare, by John Saul. There was this guy that went around killing and abducting women. He would go to an open house and hid himself in the closet. Once when the family came home,they did not know that the killer was in the house. So ever since then, I will check my closets whenever I see a door to my front or back entrance unlocked.

When I was a little kid, I was afraid of being left alone with other people especially when I don't know them... I always feel that my parents or auntie might go somewhere and they will leave me... I don't know.. but I got over that after a while. I got used to other people.

I am scared of driving and crickets. Both are silly fears, but I still have them. The thought of driving somewhere just scares me to death. I have to force myself to do it. Just the sound of a cricket makes me crazy. I am no fun in the summertime.
