Glorious Curls!!!!!!!!!!  | |  Corkscrew curls, Botticcelli, or waves, curls never really go out of style, although curly hair has had it's in's and out's through the years.
Those of us with naturally curly hair can remember times when we would do anything to straighten it. I have heard stories of ladies who used to iron their hair to get it stick straight. And yes, I DO mean with an heated clothing iron. LOL! Why did we do that? Is anyone ever satisfied with their hair? The straights want curls and the curls want it straight.
About 4 yrs ago I decided to stop fighting my natural curl and let it do what 'ere it would. I love it. Somedays it's wild, some days more tame, but I just let it go and do it's thing.
Naturally curly hair tends towards dryness and frizz, so the search for hair care products that don't leave you with a sticky mess is daunting. I have found a few resources that have helped me to have the hair that I like, and sometimes love.

I have permed my hair quite often but now just wear it short, and only have to use a bit of gel to touch it up.. The older you get, the more you want to have short hair, so little upkeep.. Now, don't knock us ladies who ironed our hair, in my younger days, I did have naturally curly hair and hated it.. My hair was long and very curly, at this time there wasn't any of the hair products out like there is today, so I just laid my head sideways on the ironing board, spread my hair out as straight as I could get it, laid a damp towel over the hair and ironed away.. Sometimes if you had help it was os much easier.. It was surprisingly easy to do, but it didn't last long and you couldn't overdo it as you could burn your hair.. But I eventually grew out of the curly hair stage and then curly hair became popular, so I permed my hair then.. Now, I just get it cut short.. there is no pleasing us with our "Crowning Glory".. Also, in the "80" curly hair on men was popular, so you guessed it, I permed hubby's hair.. I fould a picture off him in my wallet last night, it was from the 80's and he had the curly hair, I thought he was cute.. I am going to try and add a photo of him 20 yrs ago.. I am not 100% sure how to do it, but it should be in my photos, check it out and let me know what you think of the "80" curls on men..
