how do you handle it when people insult you?

you need to look at the source of information. does the person who insulted you, really matter? most often times, they dont.. these people are inconsequential to your existance and happiness.. thus, their insults hold no bearing whatsoever.

I just ignore them. The only reason they are doing it is to get a reaction out of you and when you give them one then they got waht they wanted. The best thing is to just keep walking and ignore it. If enough people do this they will get bored and move on to something else.

I have been insulted so often that it no longer bothers me. I have found that ignoring the ignorant is the best way to deal with them. There is very little respect these days, so I can't see the point in letting it upset me anymore.

I agree with you. More and more people now even the young ones are not too careful with what they've got to say. I really do not mind them. At least for as long as they do not cross my borders. I know that if I would mind them, they will just feel prouder that I took notice of them.

i mostly ignore such people... i'd probably be tempted to do the same but i don't do it unless i'm really angry.....

I try to ignore it, at least in public. But it really hurts me when someone insults me, even if it isn't true.

I think it's sad how cruel people can be sometimes-especially kids. It just seems like people never consider the feelings of others anymore. If someone was insulting me, I think I would just try to ignore them. Usually, if someone is doing that, then they probably just want your attention and want to see you get upset, so I would try to just pay no attention to them rather than giving them what they want. If I am upset by it, I try to wait until I can have some privacy to let out my frustration because I don't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing that they succeeded in getting to me. If they think that their insults aren't achieving anything, then hopefully they will just stop.

I evaluate the source. Do they matter to me? Is their opinion important to me? Have they really insulted me or are they offering me relevant feedback?

Sometimes what is viewed as a insult is simply bad communication.

I simply ignore strangers, their opinions are less than relevant to me and thus not worthy of a response.

The rest I evaluate the source and determine the response based upon the source.

I ignore these people.

When someone insults me I just laugh at them and brush it off because usually when people Insult you its only cause there insocure thereself so I just let it go instead of getting upset about it its not really worth it most of the time Let them think what they want you know what you feel inside and 9 out of 10% of the time you dont feel what there saying is true so how care just brush them ok but anyways.
