Playing Hide & Seek |
|
When you were young did you play hide and seek? We did when I was a kid. Usually us kids would go outside and the one that was "it" would count 5.10.15.20... all the way to 100 in that sing song kind of voice.. remember? And everyone would hide... and when we got to 100 we'd say.. "ready or not here I come!" And it was our job to find the ones hiding. Where did you hide? Did you ever forget you were hiding and fall asleep? I did... I ran into the house while my parents were playing cards with my uncle and aunt.. and hid under my cousin's bed... when no one could find me they told my parents and then the search was on. They were about to call the cops when someone said "look under the beds" and there I was sound asleep. so did you ever fall asleep during hide and seek?

1. kel1483 (246) | 4 months ago | We played hide and seek a lot. I am the oldest of four kids, so we were always trying to find something to do. We would hide behind furniture, in cupboards and under beds. Anywhere we could. Once at my uncle's house he put one of us kids on top of the refridgerator to hide. That's one place you don't really think to look lol. I never fell asleep while playing hide and seek. Our house didn't have that many good hiding places, so usually you were found very quickly.

3. arcidy (2458) | 4 months ago | Yeah I use to play hide and seek when I was young all those were the days. I remember me and my sister use to play with our causins in our condo which was kind of hard for me to find a spot since I was big and not to many good spots to hide in our condo but it was in all good fun. I loved playing in our house with my sister. I remember leaving her in her spot for an hour while I watched tv lol.

4. vera5d (2044) | 4 months ago | We always played hide and seek. We had many different versions of the game. We usually counted to 25 I think...after the person who was it started looking for people we would try to run back to base and you had to yell "olly olly ox and free!" (whatever that may have meant!) I never fell asleep since we were always trying to find the right moment to run back to base. My favorite hiding spots were in the shower and in a closet behind all the coats - no one ever found me in those spots! We also used to play another variation we called flashlight tag at night - whoever was it had to spot you with the flashlight, but of course again we still tried to run to home base!

5. winterose (11985) | 4 months ago | oh my you feel asleep, I never heard anything like that before, that must have been some experience. We played the game of hide and seek, but it was counting one, two, three, and I was never good at hiding, I hid behind a parked car on the street or in an open doorway and that was about it.

8. eeyore39 (1366) | 4 months ago | No I don't think I ever fell asleep while playing the game but I certainly do remember it. We lived kind of out of the city so there was a ton of places to hide. Don't remember havig any one particular one though. Whatever worked at the time. I do remember choosing places that I could get back to home base if I were detected though.
