 Did you see where this One guy was chasing a Tornado? I seen it today on T.V. People don't ever try this, these are professional people that do ths and they warn you not to do it. He really had to be crazy to do that! he has been doing it for yrs. It was on good morning America. I seen it Did you see it, I was scare for him.

Yes, very dangerous, he drove into it. I would be driving away from it taking cover. But I guess it takes all kinds of people! We got to see through his eyes what it looked like!

I have seen the TV shows with the tornado chasers. They even have a movie about it, it is called "Twister". They probably even have more than that one, but that one is the only one that comes to mind. I am alert when it comes to bad storms. But I do not think that I could do this. It is too dangerous.

not that much fun believe me. we were never
in the direct path of one but once mymom
and i,this was years back,watched as three
tornadoes moved along in a path about a half
mile from us,a big one,a smaller one and a really
small one . like father, mother and baby. they did
a horrendous amount of damage crushing everything
in their path and sending straws into telephone
poles and baby carriages on top of houses.taking one garage
and setting it kattywampus on the foundation of
another garage.Whole streets of houses literally torn
apart. Nothing like the movies but real life and people
dazed as they had nothing left at all once they climbed out
of their storm cellars.

| 5. palonghorn (1917) | 2 months ago |  I was a weather spotter for 3 years in Texas, we did not chase the tornadoes but we would go out in the field, find a strategic location to have a good view of any approaching storms so that we could report back any rotation in the clouds or wall clouds that we observed, which in turn was reported to NOAA. I have been a little too close at times, but it is an awesome thing to see.

| 7. JoyfulOne (2806) | 2 months ago |  I've seen a few of the tv shows on stormchasers. Whew! No thanks!! One of the scariest videos I've seen was this family who was on the freeway and everybody abandoned their cars and went up underneath the overpass where the concrete meets the grassy hill leading up to it. The winds alone were so bad I thought this Mother was going to lose grip on her child and it would be blown away! Then these cars were just airborne and semi trucks and trailers were just like toys in the air. This one person was lucky to have his video camera with him and took the real life shots. Man, was that scary! I don't know if he was a storm chaser or not? I guess the storm chasers know what they're doing (I hope!) but I still wouldn't want to do anything like that. I didn't see the segment on GMA, will have to go to their website and see if they have the video posted.

| 9. olivebranch56 (398) | 2 months ago |  I don't think storm chasing is something I would want to do, but oh it looks exciting, and because of people like this, we know so much more about how tornadoes act and react.There were several good movies out about storm chasers a few years ago, I can't think of the names of them right now, but one starred Helen Hunt. If you like that report you would probably enjoy the movies, they were made for TV if I remember right.
