I came from a discussion where someone was asking if their avatar was causing anyone any trouble. The main question was an avatar causing anyone headaches and could end up having a seizure because of it. The answer is yes to both but it fell on deaf ears angry because it was not what the OP wanted to hear who BTW claims to have both.

I am so angry because if they did actually have both or even one they would realize that not everyone is the same therefore not everyone's reactions will be the same. angry

Why do people jump to conclusions that because something did or didn't happen to them that there is no way it can happen or not to someone else? angry

I actually responded to that discussion and thanks for telling us this. I didn't know that different things can cause different people seizures. It's good to know that I just thought that it happened to everyone with the same thing. Although I should have know better because every body is different.

Raz my son has JME (juvenile myoclonic epilepsy.)
His seizures consisted of abcense,myoclonic jerks & tonic clonic.
99% of the tonic clonic happened after playing the ps2,
flashing lights etc,you know what i mean.
So yes i do know about flashing avatars,screens etc
Yes everyone is different just because an avatar dont effect one perosn that does not mean it will or will not effect anyone else.
What i find odd is why the person was asking at all.
To me it was like oh well i know it might but i will ask anyway then join the club of people who dont listen just because its not their answer.

Anyway my avatar flashes a little.
I am of course willing to remove it for anyone !!

Which type of epilepsy do you have Raz & is it controlled?
Obviously you dont need to answer that happy

Will you please go paste your response here to that discussion? I do not think it will get to the OP but I think it will shed some light to others.

What gets me more them even asking at all is tha they swear they have both but are clueless as to not everyone has the same reaction or trigger. Common sense anyone? doh Would you also remove it if someone said it was headache inducing to them?

The majority of my seizures were tonic clonic but were under control for 12 years besides for 1 due to a flashing banner at another forum. A mistake was made and I was given the generic medication and well hello again seizure world angry It took a few years to get my level back where it should be (10-15 for me) Throughout getting me back on track I have have complex partial and tonic.

*knocks wood* I have not had a seizure in a few months

LOL well at least for now we will not find out. Stupid twit finally conceded that it might actually be giving some eyestrain at the very least. It is a start.
