 I have come to a conclusion here, and I think that I have realized who one of 'my' trolls is, although if anyone wanted to stalk me I wouldn't be hard to find...so to the trolls, detractors
I want to say one thing to y'all, I am NOT going to let you get me down, and I would hope that others would feel the same way, because it is YOU who are driving my good friends away, people leaving because you have nothing better to do than to troll, rate negatively for no reason, stalk, and harass other people....
Well the time has come for me to turn my back on you,
When I see people on here who insult others for writing long posts because its too long and they don't want to read it, then you know what they should just skip that post and move on, or maybe they should remove that interest category from their interests, as people may write something and want others input, per say a chapter in a book that they are working on.
Teh best feedback can come from peers like you and I...
So if something is to long for you to read, don't insult them for it, just move and find something that may be shorter and sweeter to your liking.

If you want to ignore them, fine. I agree with you 100% and think that's the best advice. However, don't go around announcing you're going to ignore them - it's unecessary.
Pitgull is right, too. There are far to many shallow topics on here, yet for some reason, they get all the replies. Actually, I just got reamed by some user because I thought he was posting a spam message in a discreet way. (ie: disguising it as a topic with a sob story, and then posting a link to what he does on line to attract sign-ups.) I wasn't being rude in my expression of my opinion. I thought I expressed my concerns calmly and rationally, but he resorted to calling me names just because I expressed an (albeit wrong but validated) opinion! So many people post spam on here it isn't funny. Noone gets rude with them. If someone does speak up, then they get cussed out! WTF??

Some have made a bit of a cult following of them and named them (trolls) and all. I often see these bleeding heart posts written specifically to these people. Why do they do it? The nasty one will get a big kick out of these posts, they certainly won't stop. In fact, calling them names and saying how horrible they are brings the poster down to that level. People I thought of a sweet and wouldn't hurt a fly have shown a totally different side of themselves in responding to these people.
This sort of thing is so petty. Ignore these people! Please!! I've seen enough posts on this subject to last a lifetime. Leave it. Move past it. Unless you're grasping at straws for something to post or trying to attract attention to yourself.

I've got one who thinks I'm violating cut and paste in using news articles for discussions, and well needless to say I am very very careful about the guidelines, if I feel I need to cut something to show a point of the story because a lot of people don't like to follow links from here, I do, and if I forget the link, I put it when the first person responds...
So while I was a bit upset, I've brushed it off and moved on.
Thanx for the laugh this afternoon (here on East coast its afternoon)...

People who are rating negatively for longer posts are simply too lazy to be bothered reading through them. They are sometimes those who put the posts of "good thought" or "I agree" which leaves nothing for the others to link to. I find that I respond to longer posts more often than those that are a line or two. Keep posting your wonderful posts Mooch, I love them and answer them a lot! Toni

I think it is great, I have never heard anyone use it before.
It is really sickening when people pick on others because of their post.
I am like you, "don't read it move on to another post".
I read a post that was meant to be funny, and it was.
One person responded and said they did not find it funny.
Next thing I know the post was gone.
It was truly funny and was getting lots of comments.
I felt sorry for my friend who posted it.
