I listen to all those eras plus I've recently fallen in love with music and radio plays from the 20's through the 40's! I like to look up radio stations on the internet that play songs from all eras. If you Google "50's hits" for example, you'll find a lot of radio stations you can listen to on your computer that play songs from that time and they tell you the titles and everything. Which years are you interested in? I've gone from easy listening as a child to psychodelic rock in my teens to heavy metal, death metal, punk, hard rock and now I'm listening to the hits from before I was born. Music is so wonderful! Such a variety and so many styles!

dragon54u (2083) | 2 months ago | Sounds like you love some good Motown!! I love that music! There was so much great stuff in the 60's and early 70's! I remember that NaNaNaNa song so vividly, do you remember the Monkees? They eventually learned to play their instruments and Mike was the son of the Liquid Paper inventor!

| jdrhodes (88) | 2 months ago | My interest in oldies is rather odd, I actually like them because they don't remind me of anything..I was born in 77. My folks were young adults during the 50's, I was the youngest and they had me pretty late in the game. I guess the oldies remind me of my parents, riding in the backseat or eating at a 50's diner...It's certainly not the music I grew up with. I like songs to be upbeat, I listened to alot of angry/depressing music during my teenage years, oldies make me happy! You need some Franklin, R-E-S-P-E-C-T find out what it means to me...oakridge boys, buddy holly, ect....anyone seen dream girls? That was a good flick, so was Walk the Line....everything had more class back in the 50's...cars had style, the way people dressed, jukeboxes, soda fountains, and a dime could really buy something! I prefer vinyl to cds too. I remember I met some girl for the first time and she called me "retro boy", I hadn't said maybe 5 words to her and she had me pegged. How do women do that? Well I'm sending my love out to those who lived it and those who just dream it...this is a fun topic...

5. coffeebreak (2077) | 2 months ago | I was thinking that same thing today. I was trying to get the name of a song adn was going to post it. It was 1975/76 and dont' remember the artist but it was about a kid in high school who's dad was blind but so proud of his kid, he was on the football team but not good enough to play, but his dad was till proud of him and went to all the home games and cheered his son on. So one night it goes "it was that last game of the season, a Friday night at home...." something something and they called his name to play and he didn't show up - but was in the locker room, then came out and it says "where the hell you been?" "Just gettin ready for the second half was all he said".... turns out he noticed his dad was not in the stands, meaning he had died and the song says at the end "it was the first time my father's seen me play". Total tear jerker but shows the love of kids and parents. Anyone know the name of it? But I loved so many 70's songs. My high school years. Neil Diamond was hot and Air Supply and so many others. LEo Sayer did "when I need you".

coffeebreak (2077) | 2 months ago | BLind man in the Bleachers! That was it. Tear jerker deluxe! But back in the 70's was the last decade I can remember (and I've been through all since then) where they had songs you could actually understand the words as they were being sung! There wasa solid point to them and you could actually sing along and feel the song. Sorry to see all that go!

coffeebreak (2077) | 1 month ago | Exactly. I can't even understand that words of todays songs. Don't know how others do it! Country is the only ones I can understand the words but they have gone so rock and roll and hollywood, that I don't even think most of them can even be honestly called country. Just cause the singer uses a twang in their voice, doesn't make it country and that is about all that is out htere these days. Where's George Jones, COnway Twitty, Waylon, WIllie, and the rest - those were the days!
