Hospital today

Oh gabs I'm so sorry you have to go thru another 4 or so months of this crap! Some of those Dr.'s out there shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine at all. I will keep you in my prayer's sweetie, don't be scared just be glad you know what it is for sure now. Hopefully they will rush things along for you so it doesn't take so long...Hugs..Lori

How can you wait 4 months? I know the pain that comes along with it and I know there would have been no way I could have waited that long. Are you sure they can't put a speed on your tests to get you going faster? I am so sorry this happened to you. The sad thing is this does happen more then people know. I had a doctor tell me once there was nothing wrong with me except according to the records I took with me from the hospital I was a fat depressed woman. OK maybe not those exact words but that is what it implied. I took the actual tests from that hospital and went directly to a specialist and he read the report and found the problems. I had a bad case of diverticulitist and phomenia. After he treated me I was much better. It is sad that some doctors just take the easy way out. I am so sorry you had to go through all of this because of one of those doctors. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope they can get this done fast and all goes well.

Woah that is crazy about report saying one thing yet you were told something else.
The system is a sham & i for one wouldnt have put up with that c*** for one day,never mind months.
Anyway at least something is finally being done Gabs.
Tho why 4 months? That means more pain etc for you .

I am so sorry, gabs, that your general practitioner didn't show professional acumen in dealing with your case. I know that they usually try to be on safe side rather than take a risk of their own opinion, especially when it is based on their interpretation, and which, of course, wasn't the case with your GP. The problem is, in medical field, much is still based on experience and interpretation rather than solid ground like in engineering.

Right diagnosis and interpretation is the root to cure and tackle the problem head on with right choices. So, in this particular regard, I am glad that it is finally well established and diagnosed as to what really is the problem. And, even though you will have to wait for 4 months now, which could have been avoided if you GP followed generally expected professional behavior, it can now be dealt as it should be. Given how much courageous and brave you have been and actually are, I believe you will be able to handle the stress and frustration caused by this delay. You know that your friends are here to support you like a family that we are.

I am sorry to hear that you are having to put up with all this crap when it seems it could have been handled much better. Also, it stinks big time that you have to wait 4 months more, and I have read your responses to others so I understand why, but it still stinks for you.

Are you glad to finally learn what it is?

It sounds like your new physician may be quite an asset for you. I certainly hope so.

Oh my friend i am so sorry to hear this i know all about that want be drs have been through that,but maybe being so good and concerned it may that he can get you in faster.I would report that other so called b-- she has no business seeing sick people,i am so mad i could bust.I have been through with my husband has copd and the same you have and so do i he sleeps with oxygen every night takes all kinds of meds for his breathing and he is doing a lot better.Are the stones so bad that they cant do the laser on them that away you dont have to be put under.Well you know my friend you be getting a special pray from me as i got from you when i was so ill.oxoxoxox

It is appalling the way you have been treated really, the doctor you are under sounds like she should not be a doctor at all, she is certainly not doing her job properly and you have suffered with this longer than necessary. I would be tempted to see if there was grounds to make a complaint to be honest. But at least now you are on the right track and hopefully, hopefully things can be sorted out for you. Hugz xx

Not great news but look on the bright side "It could have been worse."

Okay I know you are worried Angel but what have I told you? Worrying will only stress you and that will make the pain worse! There isn't much you can do until you have had the results of these tests and see where you go from there - easy to say but harder to do I know, but you really have to try angel. They won't send you for surgery unless your lungs are strong enough to cope - that is what these tests are for sweety. At least we know what the problem is for sure now and when these tests are over a decision can be made over what to do about it! Hang tough sweety - you have lasted this long, 4 months more is nothing! xxx

Dear Gabs, I am sorry to hear that you will need surgery. It is a shame that your other Doctor was so careless with your health that she decided to do nothing, instead of take care of you and cause no harm like they take an oath to do...

I do hope that you will be healthy enough to have the surgery...I had my gallbladder removed in 2003...I am sorry that you have to wait another 4 months for all of this...
