 Can you believe that! They are so paranoid that some people might appreciate aid from the U.S. the Red Cross or the United Nations, that the dictatorship of Myanmar is willing that their people die, after so many have already died from the horrific cyclone, rather than allow aid to reach them! Could you ever want to be so in control (of others!) that you would risk other's lives? (I expect the answer to that is no! ) But isn't it weird? How do people get to that low of a point on the human scale?

It's sad that their own government has decided they will dictate where to send supplies and use their own labor. These people could be eating now....
Maybe they're afraid that after they come in and help, they wont leave, isn't that what happens when other countries "help"??

The government is so stingy and stubborn. And they refused to allow aid to flow in. And yeah it is crime against mankind. And I bet God will deal with that. HE even will punish the Myanmar government for this neglectedness. I think the Myanmar government will be judged.

I have ceased tried to wonder what is going on, the first shipments were confiscated, and they had the top generals name on them, the junta has no intention of letting in aid and any aid they do let in I suspect will be confiscated.
I think everyone should just pack up and go home, sorry we've tried, they don't want help, they want to let everyone die...and its wrong....they have no regard for human life and its sad, we are willing to come with food and supplies, but the longer they go the worse it will get

This situation was already bad, but as time keeps going and they do not get help it will get worse. Not to mention all the disease and other things that will start happening because the bodies have been left laying around.
I really feel for the people of Myanmar. This has got to be a complete nightmare for them. They need help, but their own government is not going to let them get it. They have got to feeling desperate, alone and scared.

Because of Myanmar's military junta - often hostile and suspicious of outside interference - a lot of help that must get into the country can't be delivered. I hope that the leaders of the country find it in their heart to allow aid to come in for the sake of the citizenry. My heart goes out to the people of Myanmar. I do hope and pray that things will become better for all of them soon.
