Hi maddysmommy, no this does not happen to me. I have to many health issues so people do not like to stick around people that are sick all the time. This is a good thing in some ways like with what you are going through or can be a bad thing because you do get very lonely at times also for company of friends. Enjoy your friends when your energy level picks up maddysmommy!

his does happen to me all the time. I wish people would just get a clue, when you don't answer the phone after a couple of times!! It's very annoying, & then they will stand there & knock on your door incessantly!! Lori

This seems to happen to me on my days off work, when all i want to do is enjoy the quiet of my house with all the kids of to school.I have a friend that stays at home and when she knows i'm home she wants us to do something.What i do is answer her call and tell her that i'm just enjoying a lazy day and would really just like to lie in bed and do nothing that usually works.I find that if i dont answer her calls she'll come over, and i'd have to entertain her because she'll see my car in the driveway and know i'm home, i perfer to answer a phone call than have to spend the rest of my day being hostess. But thats just me.

Yep, it does happen to me too. Just tell everyone you are taking a mental health day, your neighbor included. Tell her no offense you just need some alone down time. You better go ahead and take that time too. Your feeling that way is just your body and mind saying slow down Missy. I hope you are able to knapp and have your day hun. We all need them now and again.

Why not just be right out front with her then? Tell her exactly what you've said here. Just tell her you do not feel like going anywhere nor talking. Also tell her totday is a day for you and you alone and you wish not to be bothered. I do that and it usually works.

i believe everyone will have the situation when we don't want anyone disturb us. we just need time to be alone and thats it! nothing else.

in your situation, i am quit sure that you need rest and ask like you wish to be alone for while. you need to fresh up your self from the daily occurrence. and in my seeing, you have difficulties to be alone.

so, just in my suggest, you should go to some place alone and turn off any tools which connected with you as like mobile phone. cause if not, you won't able to be alone and it will make you more exhausted, dear

Oh Dear, I had one of those neighbours.
She would not phone, but would be constantly at my door.
It got to the stage where I would not open my front door.
I left it shut all day.
Once when I had been in hospital I slept for 2 weeks, almost all day. My doctor said it was good, it was my bodies way of recovering.
Yeah well I would have recovered a lot sooner if this neighbour was not knocking on my door every 5 minutes to ask "If I was still alive".
she has now been banned from even entering my yard.
I have been able to relax and enjoy myself a lot more since banning her.

I have days like that from time to time too. People usually know that if they call twice and I don't answer that I'm either busy or otherwise engaged.

I don't go to bed till late anyway, but if I get up earlier than usual, I find I have to go back to bed for an hour or so in the afternoon. Exhaustion takes it toll after a while lol.

I must say that your neighbour is very persistent lol. If I had one like that I'd be constantly hiding, cuz I can't stand people who keep pushing like that lol.

Maddysmommy, i get like this. I answer phones all day long, and there are some days I just do not want to talk. When I feel like that I do the same as you and just let the phone ring to voice mail. Normally on those days I don't even feel like chatting in mylot. Nothing wrong with taking time for your self. Heck, most of us are always on over drive to begin with and we need to switch into lower gear just for self preservation. Do not let it bother you. Do what you have to to take care of you.
