Man what an ending

Hi! You've only just finished til now? Well, I guess its better late than never and I know how it feels like to finally read and finish a Harry Potter book. I agree with you on the ending. It kinds left me hanging and wanting more. You have to admit that the Battle at Hogwarts was pretty cool. I wonder how they're going to translate it into film. I have very high expectations and I just hope the movie people meet it. I just wish the last Harry Potter movie be more than 3 hours maybe at least 3.30 hours. Just so it could do the book and the whole series justice. All the other movies were a bit lacking and you wouldnt really understand much if you havent read the book. I was really waiting for the Epilogue on whats going to happen to the characters but all it said was a preview into their future lives. Kinda left me wanting more and hopefully a 100 page book of the detailed epilogue. Anyways, its just wishful thinking. I hope another book will be as good as Harry Potter will be made in the near future.

I can see what you mean that you were disappointed if you were expecting a big duel between Harry and Voldemort, but think about it, the whole series was leading up to the fact that Harry didn't have to and really could not have just beaten him in a duel. He needed something else that Voldemort didn't have. And that's what defeated Voldemort. It really took all of them, Dumbledore, Snape, Harry, Hermoine, and Ron to kill off all the horcruxes and set up the elder wand so it wouldn't work for Voldemort, etc. to finally bring him down. It wasn't just one spell.
