College students hanging out in MALLS??

Hi! I dont hang out at malls since there really is nothing to do there and just sit around and do nothing. But in my experience I hang out at malls because its our meeting place. Whenever my friends and I decide to go out or something we would always meet up at the mall because there are lots of things to see there while waiting. We usually browse the shops and see if there are any interesting things that we might buy in the future. If we are not browsing through the shops then we would be usually found in the food courts where we would eat a light snack while waiting for all of our friends to arrive. I think thats a bit different from what you're asking and I think about the situation that you said is that. They hangout in malls to just have a place where they can sit around where no one will tell them to go away and not be obligated to buy anything like in cafes. Most malls are also airconditioned so it would be the perfect place to stay cool while talking with friends and if ever that they get hungry they just go to teh foodcourts or buy snacks in the grocery department. Thats just what I think.^_^
