What if you had to put your real picture as your Avatar....would you be here?

lol I would not be here if that was a condition for mylotting. I chose my avatar as I dont find myself photogenic at all and the avatar tells a lot about myself, that I am a cat person and that this is even a snapshot of a feline friend I made myself.

yes i would log on just as much as i do now. i don't look all that great in the morning but, i have a lot of friends online i talk to everyday. plus looks shouldn't matter. i would just be prepared in case they decided to take my pic.

I do have a picture of me as my avatar but I don't think I would enjoy having one taking each time I logged on daily. Somemornings I am on here in my dressing gown half asleep before I've evn had my two morning cups of tea and that pic would be a reall scary on too! LOL. I would definately not log much if this was the case. Ellie:D

No I would not be here as I don't put pictures of myself or my family on the internet I absolutely refuse to put pictues of my kids on the internet I just don't feel it is safe.

Although it may come to that someday, there is a real issue with stalkers and nut cases in general.

The internet is renown for the perception of anonymity and to have to put your likeness on it would pretty much destroy any semblances of privacy.

Well I use my pic and well I like cameras so id have no issues with my picture on any site. It would be fun if they took your pic each time you logged on. Id look like crap most times as i log on after I first wake up.

I've got myself up as an avatar, but you made another point here; if it snapped a picture of me to post when I signed in, I'd be here a LOT less, 'cause usually when I sign on I haven't had my coffee yet or anything, and NO ONE deserves to have to look at me like that!

i think that would be scary - but my avatar IS me - well my face anyway - i used to know a pretty good photoshop guru...
i use my real me in some places, i don't mind - but if it were required? DANG RIGHT i'd mind - i like to have a choice.
and some people MAY have need or just want more anonymity - it would stink not being able to have that!
picture of the day for log-in? no way - i am barely presentable when i leave for work, let alone when i get things on-line first thing at home! that WOULD require therapy for viewers - and all those poor people at the dating sites?? WOW
i actually like that we have to read between the lines a little and really get to know someone without seeing them right away.
