Neutrality Amendment would this be a good idea  |

 A Neutrality Amendment which would insure that America stays out of world afairs unless attacked or a 2/3 supermajority of both branches of Congress votes to take action. Under this new Amendment America would remove all milatry bases around the world and stop foriegn aid to any country. Congress could always could approve to send money to a country or our troops, but it would take 2/3 supermajority instead of a simply 50+1 majority. Does anyone think this would be a good idea?

How will this affect my country, Philippines?
Once the US soldiers get out of the sounthern Philippines, there will be no bombings and the people will live in peace. the hospital that they threatened to shoot if they continue to serve on a 24 hour basis will be open even at night and the sick can go to that hospital. there will be less raped cases here by US sildiers sinceat least 200 raped cases were reported and the US embassy just paid the victims to keep quiet! Since most foreign aid from US is used to imposed on us rules that are mostly detrimental to my people, we will be free of these aids and loans which really we can not pay. IMF-WB is the only bank in the world that gives loans to countries that have no capacity to pay!

We no longer live in a world where a country like America can just pull up the drawbridge and expect to be kept safe by the Atlantic and the Pacific. There could be a future time when a major power comes to dominate the rest of the world by knocking over one smaller country at a time, until America is both isolated and vulnerable to direct attack, and if you've got no allies...
