Jerusalem Post says Iran, Bush and Cheney . . .  | |  to go to war. It cites a high ranking Israeli general as saying that when President Bush came to visit one of his chief aides told Isreli leadership that he and Cheney saw that military response was called for against Iran. the source said that at the meeting the US advisor relayed that Bush and Cheney agreed Iran's leadership was a "disease that must be treated, not it's symptoms". if true this is really dangerous ground. the article did state Rice and Gates had reservations about the logistics and that has held the President back from any immediate action.

I've been afraid Bush and Cheney would be planning something, they're not going to just quietly walk into the sunset like most of us would probably like for them to do. I wish I knew if it were simple incompetence or that they're such war-mongers they just can't wait to get us into even more of a mess than we're in with Iraq and Afghanistan. One thing I feel pretty confident about and that's that Congress will never authorize it this time, at least I hope he doesn't come up with more lies to trick them again!
