China states that 69 dams are . . .  | |  "in danger of collapse". it is a sad situation over there and god knows they need our prayers. but I have to say we hear so much about how far China has advanced and how technologically they are now a super power. wouldn't they construct more earthquake proof dams. that the dams have held so far I guess we should be thankful for.

I have never heard of such a thing. that sixty nine of them survived this long after the quake is amazing. you are right on that point alexia. I can't imagoine anything worse then this those poor chinese.
